Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gaffney). They put the hurt on the Spartanburg Vikings with a sharp 18-12 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on five straight.

Gaffney's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Spartanburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gaffney will head out to square off against Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Spartanburg, they will head out on the road to challenge Wade Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
