Basketball Game Preview: Corner Canyon Chargers vs. Herriman Mustangs

The Corner Canyon Chargers will square off against the Herriman Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Corner Canyon and eight for Herriman.

Corner Canyon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Mountain Ridge, who was ranked 19th at the time (Corner Canyon was ranked 24th). Corner Canyon was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 60-59 to Mountain Ridge.

Aubrey Mulitalo put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 7 for 14 on her way to 17 points and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kate LeRoy, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Herriman came up short against Bingham on Tuesday, falling 53-28.

Corner Canyon's record is now 11-9. As for Herriman, their record now sits at 3-17.

Corner Canyon strolled past Herriman in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 56-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Corner Canyon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
