The Pamlico County Hurricanes will be staying on the road to face off against the Southside Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Pamlico County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matches.
Pamlico County scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 84-40 victory over Jones. With Pamlico County ahead 48-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Braylen Ollison, who scored 17 points along with seven steals and five assists. Tariq Barber was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Southside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Lejeune on the road and fell 84-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Southside has suffered since December 12, 2023.
Pamlico County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Southside, they dropped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Pamlico County took their victory against Southside in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 67-45. Will Pamlico County repeat their success, or does Southside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
