Basketball Recap: Becton Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Becton entered their tilt with Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 66-51 victory over the Aviators. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 54-49 victory back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Becton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danny Wallner, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 17 points. The game was Wallner's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Messiah Dunbar, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

The win got Becton back to even at 11-11. As for Hasbrouck Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

Coming up, Becton will head out on the road to square off against Kearny at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hasbrouck Heights, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Verona at 4:30 p.m.
