The Mississinewa Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Madison-Grant Argylls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mississinewa will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Mississinewa took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Alexandria-Monroe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted against the Tigers since April 21, 2016.

Brooklynn Nash made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amiyaa Parr-Inman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Parker Matchette was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Madison-Grant's offense. They fell just short of Lapel by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Argylls haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Madison-Grant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Wood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Madison-Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Mississinewa, their record now sits at 12-2.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mississinewa hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. However, it's not like Madison-Grant struggles in that department as they've averaged .413. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mississinewa beat Madison-Grant 12-7 when the teams last played on Saturday. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Argylls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
