Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Kenny Crusaders vs. Godby Cougars + How To Watch

The Bishop Kenny Crusaders will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Godby Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bishop Kenny is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against The First Academy. The Crusaders took down the Royals 59-45 on Tuesday.

Bishop Kenny can attribute much of their success to Elle Deegan, who shot 64% from the field on her way to 21 points and six boards, and Kathleen Crawley, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Those 21 points gave Deegan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Amaya Canady, who posted eight points and three blocks.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Godby challenged Gadsden County on Wednesday. The Cougars breezed past the Jaguars to the tune of 59-26. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Everything came up roses for Bishop Kenny against Godby in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 50-15 victory. In that game, the Crusaders amassed a halftime lead of 33-5, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
