Basketball Recap: Baldwin Takes a Loss

Baldwin lost against Spring Hill back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Baldwin Bulldogs had to suffer through a 66-28 loss at the hands of the Spring Hill Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Broncos are ranked 47th).

Despite the loss, Baldwin still got an impressive performance from Lauren Berg, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Baldwin has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Spring Hill, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Baldwin will take on Christ Prep Academy in a tournament on Tuesday. Baldwin is facing Christ Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Christ Prep Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Spring Hill, they are taking a road trip to take on Jefferson West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
