Baseball Recap: Butte Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Butte Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beaverhead County Beavers.

Butte Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colt Hassler, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Trapper Stajcar, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Butte Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Beaverhead County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coincidentally, Butte Central Catholic and Beaverhead County will both be playing Butte the next time they take the field. The Maroons will host the Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Beavers will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on the 11th.
