South Caldwell has gone a perfect 10-0 against Watauga recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will challenge the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. South Caldwell knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Watauga likes a good challenge.

South Caldwell's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Crest as they made off with a 16-0 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Watauga's offense. They came up short against Ashe County on Tuesday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Pioneers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

South Caldwell's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Watauga, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

South Caldwell beat Watauga 4-0 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
