Trinity Academy faced Derby in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights skirted past the Panthers 4-2. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won six games in a row.

Trinity Academy's record is now 8-1. As for Derby, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Trinity Academy will challenge Medicine Lodge on Monday. As for Derby, they will head out on the road to challenge Salina South at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
