The Meridian Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Kuna Kavemen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meridian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.
Meridian took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over Sitka. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Alison Pitman was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Mariah Dresie was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.
Meridian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Kuna came up short against Mountain View on Friday and fell 9-5. The Kavemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rylee Mangum put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Remington Quick and Paisley Wiedenfeld stepped up to the plate in a big way. Quick scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Wiedenfeld scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meridian has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Kuna, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Meridian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .491. However, it's not like Kuna struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Meridian skirted past Kuna 12-11 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
