Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Romeo's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Romeo won the last time they faced Utica Eisenhower and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Eagles.

Bailey Anton was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Jesperson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Romeo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Utica Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Romeo will take on rival Grosse Pointe North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Utica Eisenhower is set to square off against their familiar foe Chippewa Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
