Softball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Southwest's offense. They came up short against the Ash Grove Pirates on Monday, falling 15-0. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Ash Grove, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Looking ahead, Southwest will host Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mountaineers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Ash Grove, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sarcoxie at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
