Volleyball Game Preview: Appomattox County Raiders vs. Radford Bobcats + How To Watch

Appomattox County is on a 16-game streak of home wins, while Radford is on a ten-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Raiders will welcome the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Appomattox County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Gretna. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Appomattox County might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Gretna scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 29-27, 25-23.

Appomattox County can attribute much of their success to Paisley Mann, who had 13 digs and two aces. What's more, Mann posted two assists, the most she's had since back in October.

Mann wasn't the only good servers: Appomattox County was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 16 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Radford got the win against Glenvar on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Radford never let Glenvar on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Appomattox County's win bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Radford, their victory bumped their record up to 21-1.

Appomattox County took their win against Radford in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
