Basketball Recap: Timpson Skates Past Elysian Fields with Ease

Timpson won against Waskom last Friday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Timpson Bears breezed by the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets to the tune of 64-15. The win was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Timpson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maliah Norris, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 boards, and ten steals. Norris has become a key player for Timpson: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 9-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cayt Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals.

Timpson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.8 points. As for Elysian Fields, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Timpson will head out to square off against Beckville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elysian Fields, they will host Tenaha at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tenaha's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
