Softball Recap: Hobart Comes Up Short

Hobart managed to slip by Kankakee Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Brickies lost 11-4 to the Kougars on Thursday. The Brickies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hobart saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ladan Weinman, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another was Taylor Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Hobart now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Kankakee Valley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hobart will face off against Portage at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kankakee Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Wheeler at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
