Volleyball Recap: Carmichaels Takes a Loss

If Carmichaels was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Avella on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mighty Mikes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Greene Pioneers on Thursday. The Mighty Mikes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 20-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Carmichaels' loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-11. As for West Greene, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Carmichaels will square off against Bethlehem Center at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Mighty Mikes surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Greene, they will face off against Jefferson-Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
