Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans vs. St. Thomas More Sabers
It was a good run, but St. Joseph-Ogden unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Thomas More Sabers. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sabers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
The final score came out to 25-10, 25-12.
St. Joseph-Ogden's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for St. Thomas More, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
St. Joseph-Ogden will look to defend their home court on Monday against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. Marshall is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so St. Joseph-Ogden will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for St. Thomas More, they will take on Rantoul at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
