Miami Beach was the 58-50 winner over Jackson when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Miami Beach Hi-Tides fell 57-47 to the Jackson Generals on Thursday. The Hi-Tides' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jackson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordany Fils-Aime, who posted 12 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Regeste, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Jackson, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Miami Beach will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jewish Culture at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Jackson, they will be taking part in a tournament against Goleman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Goleman likes a good challenge.
