Brennan and O'Connor are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. Brennan will head out on the road to face off against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brennan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so O'Connor's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Brennan is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Harlan just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks.

Farrah Lemus made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, O'Connor came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 8-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won seven contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Faith Mayfield spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, O'Connor let Lexie Ganter and Meiko Dominguez run wild. Ganter went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Dominguez scored a run while going 3-for-4. Dominguez is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Hailey Montez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

O'Connor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matches.

O'Connor's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Brennan, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
