Football Game Preview: Gilchrist vs. Jewell

After two weeks on the road, Gilchrist is heading back home. On Friday they take on Jewell at 1:00 PM. Gilchrist are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.

Gilchrist were out to avenge their 6-58 defeat to Powers from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Gilchrist ended up forfeiting their matchup against Powers 0-2 last Friday. Gilchrist's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.

Meanwhile, if Jewell were riding high off their 44-7 takedown of Triangle Lake two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Jewell ended up on the wrong side of a painful 24-58 walloping at Eddyville's hands.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see if Gilchrist are able to find more success (and make for a more exciting game than their last) when the teams meet up.
