Volleyball Recap: Colonial's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Colonial had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Boone Braves by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. This was payback for the Grenadiers, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win didn't come easy: Boone scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Boone still got an impressive performance from Ian Vega, who had 16 digs and 15 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Ayoung-Chee, who had 16 assists and nine digs.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Boone, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Colonial will venture away from home to square off against East River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Boone and Edgewater will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
