Basketball Recap: Southern Coffey County Takes a Loss

Southern Coffey County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 46-11 loss at the hands of the Central Heights Vikings. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.

Emily Ludolph was Southern Coffey County's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Kennedy Gunlock held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.

Central Heights was led to victory by Macy Cubit and Addison Ouellette. Cubit went 6-for-11 on her way to 14 points, while Ouellette posted ten points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Cubit a new career-high in field goal percentage (55%). Maya Acebron also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Southern Coffey County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Central Heights, their record now sits at 8-10.

Southern Coffey County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-10 loss against Uniontown on the 21st. As for Central Heights, they have also already played their next matchup, a 39-36 win against Northern Heights on the 21st.
