Recap: Rouse Raiders vs. Leander Lions
The Rouse Raiders waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 41-36 victory over Leander. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Rouse has scored all year.
Rouse had a senior duo take command as Amarie Haywood scored 14 points along with six rebounds and Devin Brown scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Moore, who scored five points along with six assists and three steals.
Rouse is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Leander, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-10.
Rouse will head out on the road to square off against Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Rouse is ranked 28th). As for Leander, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hays is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
