Volleyball Recap: Millbury Takes a Loss

Millbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Woolies of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2018.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Kaden Ellis paced Millbury's offense, picking up 18 kills. Ellis got some help from Giuliana Gerolomo and her 18 assists. Gerolomo also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Isabella Ferrari, each putting up two.

Millbury now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Blackstone Valley RVT, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Millbury has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Nipmuc Regional on the 19th. As for Blackstone Valley RVT, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Marlborough on the 18th.
