Volleyball Preview: Vision vs. North Star Huskies
Vision will play host again on Friday to welcome the North Star Huskies, where is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, everything went Vision's way against Idaho City as Vision made off with a 3-0 win.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 25-23.
Meanwhile, North Star sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Compass Charter on Wednesday.
North Star was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-102), but they still managed to win. After all that action, the final score was 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-25, 15-13.
North Star can attribute much of their success to Grace Escobar, who had five kills, four aces, and 33 assists. Escobar is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 20 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
North Star was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive games.
Vision pushed their record up to 3-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for North Star, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.
