The Winters Blizzards lost against the Christoval Cougars back in December of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Winters' tough 67-43 loss to Christoval might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Winters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 716th, while Christoval is ranked 251st).

Christoval's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Busch, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Busch's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bruce Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Winters now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Christoval, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Winters is on the road again on Friday and play against Valley at 11:40 a.m. on December 1st. Christoval will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sweetwater at 6:20 p.m. on December 12th.
