Football Game Preview: Antwerp Archers vs. Ayersville Pilots

The Antwerp Archers will take on the Ayersville Pilots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Antwerp will be strutting in after a win while Ayersville will be coming in after a defeat.

Antwerp took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 20-13 victory over Wayne Trace.

Meanwhile, Ayersville came up short against Tinora on Friday and fell 27-14. The Pilots haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ayersville's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Antwerp, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Antwerp didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Ayersville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 33-28 victory. Will the Archers repeat their success, or do the Pilots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
