Baseball Recap: Forrest Takes a Loss

Forrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coffee County Central Red Raiders.

Branham Haynes and Luke Allen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Haynes scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Allen scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that Haynes snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Baxter, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Forrest's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Coffee County Central, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Forrest will square off against Cascade at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Coffee County Central, they will take on Franklin County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
