Basketball Recap: Schuyler County Comes Up Short

Schuyler County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Milan Wildcats, falling 63-40. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.

Milan was led to victory by Amy Pickering and Marian Dabney. Pickering went 9 of 13 en route to 18 points along with seven steals and six assists, while Dabney went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc to rack up 18 points. Those seven steals gave Pickering a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Pauley, who posted seven points and three steals.

Schuyler County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Milan, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuyler County will venture away from home to square off against Putnam County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milan, they will head out to face off against Linn County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
