Baseball Recap: Floyd Comes Up Short

Floyd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-4 to the Elida Tigers. If the Broncos were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Archer Knox made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Floyd's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. Elida has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

While Floyd had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
