Basketball Recap: Luke Stults' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Argos over North Judson-San Pierre

Argos fought the good fight in their overtime game against North Judson-San Pierre on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Bluejays recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Stults, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. That was a full 46.5% of Argos' points, marking the ninth time in a row Stults has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mekhi Austin, who had nine points and four steals.

Argos' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for North Judson-San Pierre, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Argos didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-44 defeat against Jimtown on the 22nd. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they have also already played their next contest, a 59-57 loss against Hebron on the 22nd.
