Football Game Preview: Norfolk Catholic Knights vs. Oakland-Craig Knights

Norfolk Catholic has gone a perfect 4-0 against Oakland-Craig recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Norfolk Catholic is taking a road trip to take on Oakland-Craig. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Norfolk Catholic has five straight wins, Oakland-Craig has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Norfolk Catholic strolled past West Point-Beemer with points to spare, taking the game 37-20.

Will Brockhaus produced another solid effort rushing for 185 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 74 receiving yards and one score. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Blake Flood helped out on the ground, rushing for 96 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Oakland-Craig played against Ponca on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Oakland-Craig's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Norfolk Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Norfolk Catholic against Oakland-Craig in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norfolk Catholic since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
