Sioux Valley has gone a perfect 3-0 against Colman-Egan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cossack will look to defend their home field against the C-E Hawks at 5:00 p.m. Sioux Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Sioux Valley had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Chester last Tuesday. The Cossack put the hurt on the Flyers with a sharp 16-1 victory. Considering the Cossack have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

McKinley Schwab was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Schwab was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sioux Valley got a massive performance out of Kassidy Smith, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most runs Smith has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Shelby Hai, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Sioux Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Colman-Egan posted their closest win since April 20th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 victory over Garretson.
Like Sioux Valley, Colman-Egan also got a great game from a two-way player: Chloe Schmidt. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Schmidt was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Chloe Bryan was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Kinley Giegle was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Sioux Valley's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Colman-Egan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sioux Valley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .502. However, it's not like Colman-Egan struggles in that department as they've averaged .521. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sioux Valley got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Colman-Egan by a conclusive 21-4 score. Do the Cossack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the C-E Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
