Basketball Recap: Cordova Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Cordova Wolves didn't have quite enough to beat the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix and fell 42-39. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Cordova and City University School of Liberal Arts will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Cordova is facing City University School of Liberal Arts at the right time seeing as City University School of Liberal Arts is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Booker T. Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Booker T. Washington's offense will have their work cut out for them.
