Volleyball Preview: Valley Regional Warriors vs. East Hampton Bellringers        
        
		
             The Valley Regional Warriors will head out to  square off against the East Hampton Bellringers  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Valley Regional will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
 Last Monday,  everything went Valley Regional's way against Portland as Valley Regional made off with  a  3-0 victory.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Valley Regional took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-1,  25-5.
 Valley Regional can attribute much of their success to   Kellyn Kolber, who  had nine  aces, three  digs,  and two  kills, and   Rubee Cecchini, who  hit 80% for 13  killseight  digs and four  aces. The last time  Cecchini's  hitting percentage was this high was  back in October of 2023.
 Valley Regional  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 18  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least six  aces in 12 consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, East Hampton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of  2-0.
 East Hampton's not only won, but also showed off some consistency: keeping East Haven between 20 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20,  25-21.
 Valley Regional's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 13-2. As for East Hampton, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record  this season.
 Everything went Valley Regional's way against East Hampton when the teams last played  back in September, as Valley Regional made off with  a  3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Valley Regional since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
