            Baseball Recap: Bishop Watterson Eagles vs. Unioto Shermans        
        
		
        
        
            Bishop Watterson barely beat Unioto the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Shermans 13-3 on Saturday. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than six  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
Bishop Watterson got several good pitching performances, but  Blaise Strausbaugh was perhaps the best,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Strausbaugh has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Chance Strausbaugh was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI. That  home run was  his first of the season.  Noah Lawler was another key player,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  runs and one  double.
 Bishop Watterson was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Unioto only posted a  batting average of  .143.

The  win (which was Bishop Watterson's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Unioto,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6.
 Bishop Watterson and Unioto should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage  in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Eagles will  square off against  St. Francis DeSales  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday with a big rank  advantage  (30 vs. 98). Meanwhile,  Unioto (ranked 171st) will meet Piketon (ranked 550th)  at 5:15  p.m.  on Monday.
