Volleyball Recap: Apex Friendship's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday + How To Watch

After flying high against Panther Creek on Tuesday, Apex Friendship came back down to earth. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Hope Falcons on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Apex Friendship had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-19.

Caroline Smith paced Apex Friendship's offense, picking up ten kills. Smith got some help from Emma Mackie and her 20 assists.

The defeat snapped Apex Friendship's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record. As for Green Hope, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.

Coming up, Apex Friendship will welcome Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green Hope, they will head out on the road to face off against Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Firebirds will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
