Magnolia entered their tilt with Hundred on Friday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 74-70 W against the Hundred Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 71-63 back in December of 2024.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colt Sandy, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Sandy is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 13 games he's played. Jaxon Huggins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Magnolia pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Hundred, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Coming up, Magnolia will head out on the road to challenge Trinity Christian on February 22nd. As for Hundred, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hancock at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hundred knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Hancock likes a good challenge.
