Basketball Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss

Wellborn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-14 loss at the hands of the Weaver Bearcats. The Panthers lost against the Bearcats in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-47 score last time.

Wellborn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Weaver, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Wellborn won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Saks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saks is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Weaver, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
