Basketball Recap: Isaac Willis and Everett Willis Secure Win for Indian Creek

Indian Creek took a 25-point defeat the last time they faced off against Earlville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indian Creek Timberwolves narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Earlville Red Raiders 33-30. The 33-point effort marked the Timberwolves' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Indian Creek was led to victory by Everett Willis and Isaac Willis. Everett almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Isaac posted seven points and six boards.

Indian Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Earlville only pulled down five offensive boards.

When it comes to explaining why Earlville lost on Tuesday, don't look at Easton Fruit. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 15 en route to 19 points along with six boards and three steals. Fruit is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played.

The win was the third in a row for Indian Creek, bringing their record for this year to 17-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Earlville, they moved to 10-15 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
