Softball Recap: Lyons Takes a Loss

Lyons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers.

Lyons saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mary Sandman, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Ava Jacklin was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Lyons' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Lyons will head out to face off against Stagg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they will welcome Saint Ignatius College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolfpack have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
