Porter-Gaud waltzed into their contest on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Cathedral Academy Generals 73-52. This was a revenge game for the Cyclones: when they faced off against the Generals back in November of 2024, they had to take a 67-62 loss.

Porter-Gaud pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. As for Cathedral Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-12.

Coming up, Porter-Gaud won't have much time to rest: their next game is against First Baptist School at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. First Baptist School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cathedral Academy, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Charleston Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charleston Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.6 points per game this season.
