Basketball Recap: Mullins Falls Despite Big Games from Jazmyne Rowell and Moriah Mcleod

Mullins was the 59-50 winner over East Clarendon when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Mullins Auctioneers took a 44-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Clarendon Wolverines.

Moriah McLeod and Jazmyne Rowell certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. McLeod went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points, while Rowell posted four points.

Leading East Clarendon to victory were Cherish Cochran and Payton Hanniford. Cochran went 8 for 15 on her way to 22 points and three steals, while Hanniford earned no points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.

Mullins has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for East Clarendon, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

Mullins will face off against Kingstree at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Clarendon, they will take on Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
