Basketball Recap: Hillsboro Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Hillsboro Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 51-18 takedown of Scioto Christian two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The match between the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders and the Adams County Christian Eagles didn't end well, with the Hillsboro Christian Academy Crusaders falling 69-54. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Hillsboro Christian Academy lost on Tuesday, don't look at Leland Chambliss. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 17 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds. Titus Howsman was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Hillsboro Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Adams County Christian, they moved to 1-1 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ross County Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Hillsboro Christian Academy will host Ross County Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Adams County Christian will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 11, 2025.
