Recap: Apollo Eagles vs. Webster County Trojans
The Apollo Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They strolled past Webster County with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. The win was a breath of fresh air for Apollo as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Apollo had a senior duo take command as Jenna Dant dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds and Jennifer Lee dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dant has scored all season.
Apollo's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Webster County, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Apollo will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McLean County at 5:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (McLean County is ranked 186th, while Apollo is ranked 193rd). As for Webster County, they will head out on the road to challenge Daviess County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
