Football Recap: Lakeview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lakeview played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Grand Ledge Comets, falling 35-6. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Comets are ranked 65th).

Caleb McCune threw for 26 yards while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Grand Ledge can attribute much of their success to Coleman Vanfossen, who rushed for 38 yards and one TD, and also picked up 39 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeview and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Grand Ledge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lakeview and Grand Ledge will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans will challenge rival Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Grand Ledge is set to square off against their familiar foe East Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
