Football Recap: Spencer/Columbus Comes Up Short

Spencer/Columbus lost against Stratford back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rockets fell 27-15 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Tigers are ranked 40th).

Spencer/Columbus dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Stratford, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spencer/Columbus will face off against rival Weyauwega-Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stratford is set to take on their familiar foe Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
