Recap: Forsyth Panthers vs. Strafford Indians
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Forsyth Panthers can now relate to. They fell just short of Strafford by a score of 28-26. Forsyth was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Strafford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October.
Forsyth's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Braxton Gross, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Strafford, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Strafford will face off against Fair Grove at TBD on Friday. One thing working in Fair Grove's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
