Auburn extended their postseason success on Friday against Rappahannock. They had just enough and edged out the Raiders 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

McKenzie Booth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaylee Ramrattan was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Johnnie Gaynor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Auburn's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rappahannock, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-4.

Coming up, Auburn will take on Eastside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.3, the Spartans 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Rappahannock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
